Hi Dennis, I'm just wondering if you, as an electone teacher, could give me your opinion on ELB-01 vs ELS-01. I'm not sure which one to get. In your experience, at what grade level would you say that you need to play the song on ELS-01 instead of on ELB-01 in order to get the full effect of the song? I'm leaning toward buying ELB-01 since the price is much cheaper, but I don't want to regret down the road & having to upgrade within 3-5 years. Thanks, Tia
Hi Tia, Thank you for dropping by. Normally, I'll teach my students not only playing the songs from text book, but I would want them to be able to arrange, programme & sequence their song too, especially if they're studing for gr.8 and better. So come back to the point of which model to purchase, please consider the following: 1) ELB-01: What you see is what you'll get, can not sequence & programme, you may consider this if you're doing gr.7 or below. 2) ELS-01: It's expandable because we can do our programing & sequencing on this model, please consider this model if you're doing gr.8 or higher, and of course this come with a higher price tag. Hope that help, or you may look for me at Yamaha Plaza Singapura on Wed & Sun.
Dennis, thank you for the advice. I live in U.S. I wish electone is as popular here as in Asia, then the decision would be easier since it'll be easy to upgrade. I am going to have to import it here, and the price of shipping is very expensive. The next problem once I have the electone, is finding an electone teacher. I might have to self-tought myself. I used to play electone way back when I was growing up in Jakarta. I hope you don't mind if I drop you a line again in the future if I have electone questions.
I would like to know if anyone can tell me if Im able to get the Stagea ELS-01x in the Yamaha Ar-100 cabinet or at least take the Ar-100 sound system and hook it too the Yamaha Stagea. Do you think the YAmaha Stagea would sound better since it has 320 watts worth of power in stead of 180 watts of power.
I love the stagea but some times the timpani and bass seems like it does not have enough bottom.
