Mutsuki Watanabe @ Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music

Great news for Electone and classical music fans!

Mutsuki Watanabe is a familiar name to many students of Yamaha music school, do check your music books and I am sure you could find his name appear as composer in many of our songs. 

Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music has invited Mutsuki Watanabe to perform at their Concert Hall this upcoming March. His long-awaited solo concert is finally happening here in Singapore! As he named the concert himself, Mutsuki will surely take you to "New Frontiers of Classical Music on Electone." Mark your calendar for this one-night only concert.

Electone Concert by MAX TAKANO

Hooray! My idol is coming end of this month. If you can attend only one concert this year, this is it!

This is his first stop of concert tour outside Japan to launch the brand new ELS02 series. Be the first to catch Maestro Max Takano perform on the revamped Electone Stagea.

Good news! I heard from the insider that Yamaha is scheduled to launch the new Stagea on 2 June 2014 and Ms YUKI WADA will be in Singapore for the event.

Another great news! Mr TAKANO will be coming for a concert on 28 June @ Bugis Illuma Hall.

Electone Concert by YUKI WADA

"Lets Jam!" Electone Concert by Ayaki Saito

Catch the electrifying Electone performance by Ayaki Saito, who started playing the Electone at the age of two. Ayaki, with a style mostly inspired by Jazz, Fusion and Latin, has since performed at UNICEF Charity Concert, won numerous awards and has two albums to his name.

Time flies and almost a quarter of year 2012 has passed and it is time to plan for the yearly Electone concert this coming July.

"Masahide Nakano" Live @ Singapore

Masahide Nakano performed at Tom Lee Music Hong Kong three months ago. How do you like his performance? Personally, I love his "Tone Registration", the Chinese instruments sounded so real. Asia-Pacific Electone Festival 2011

Asia – Pacific Electone Festival (APEF) an annual competition in Electone Music. The various Yamaha Music School from the Asia-Pacific region take turns to host this event. The origin of the Electone Festival dates back to 1964 in Japan to showcase the skills and talents of Electone virtuosos.

This year, Singapore will be hosting the APEF. It will feature contestants from Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, Mexico, Taiwan, Thailand and Singapore. These outstanding contestants will be competing on the Yamaha Electone Stagea. The first prize winner of the APEF Open Age section will move on to the Yamaha Electone Concours Final Audition.

Hiroshi Kubota on Electone Stagea LIVE!

The keyboardist Hiroshi Kubota performing with his fusion band "TRIX". To bad that you can't see his pedal work in this video. But, now comes another chance to watch him perform live in Singapore, his second performance here. Don't miss the chance to see how he toys with the "Pedal", hopefully at the age of 50 (Oh dear! I hope that he doesn't mind that I mention his age) and he is able to kick the pedal like he used to be, hehehe...

Max Takano @ Yamaha 50th Anniversary Concert (Malaysia)

My idol Max Takano performed @ Malaysia Yamaha Electone 50th anniversary concert.

He had been absent from Singapore's scene for at least ten years and I heard that he will be coming to perform at Singapore somewhere at the end of this year, looking forward to watch him perform again.

African Symphony

They are the students of my friend 'Michelle Chow'. Didn't they perform very well? Come to see them play LIVE at Yamaha Plaza Singapura Branch this Sunday on 30/11/2008 at 12pm. Free admission & hope to see many of you.

My objective of starting this Vblog:

1) To encourage students to practice regularly.
2) To give a platform for students to showcase their work & performance.
3) To give students more exposure, we can learn from each other 24hrs a day, 7 days a week.
4) To update information on various concerts. Electone is a very versatile musical instrument that we have a whole orchestra at our hand. Ideally, Electone player should be a good arranger as well and therefore to attend different genres of concert is important.
